Gold, dollars and euros

Never ever before has gold been so expensive.
1 ounce, just a little bit more than 31 grams, was sold today for more than 1040 dollars.

For quite some time now investers have been selling their dollars; buying gold, because gold is considered relatively stable. They are afraid of inflation of the dollar...and by their behaviour they're making it a self-fulfilling prophesy.

Today some newspaper reported that the Golfstates are considering to stop using dollars for the oiltrade, and using euros and yens instead.
Even though there were as many articles denying this step, this couldn't prevent a further fall in the dollar.

Right now a euro is about 1.47 dollar, which is almost the topvalue

about dropping links

Isn't it boring that people write comments just to drop their link?

That's why I hardly write on this blog.

Comments with commenrcial links are delited right-away.

When you want to advertise on my blog, ask me, and I give you proper attention in return for a boost in realising a dream.

No matter how nicely worded your dropped link-comment is, as owner of multiple blogs, I know you just paste a bit of prefab text.

Don't you take your own product serious?

the big GR again

G-rank is like a candle light.
The site hops from 0 to 3 and from 3 to 0 without even a change of content.

It's like an infant is playing with the buttons at a machine it doesn't know how to handle.

To me it means I write a post at rank 3, with full flair and enthousiasm, and when it's time to have it rewarded, I won't get nothing, just because the big G has hit the button again.

It's annoying, because the people who ask me to write have their gain of exposure, and I have invested time and effort with no return at all.

I think the system stinks.

Marketing your blog

Finally my rank is up again.
It's google's award for a rather boring blog, that's for sure.

In the meantime I've devoted my attention to another blog to learn how to increase blog worth and to see if it's reflected in heavy traffic.

I got some free heavy traffic to my blog because I wrote about the news.
Persoanlly I don't think blogs should rewrite the news. There should be a good critical review added or there should be a humane aspect that needs attention. Like humanitarian need after an earthquake.
Or the readers should be guided to good insight in national and international items, and I did just like that.

Some people have boring blogs that rely completely on blogger traffic tools.
They're just a list of products with well known names of products and businesses, which just fit in the present high ranked seo keywords.
I've never understood why heavy traffic is targetted to top seo keywords when there's no real content, reflecting the ffort on the writers part.

Well, I guess it's to put heavy traffic on search engines.

Have a try yourself.
Find ways to increase the keyword search and you'll end up with many visitors who have a look and never come back.

I personally want a reliable group of regular visitors who are able to spread the word when some good content is written.

Paris, the place to be

Januari 2...

This is the date that you can learn a lot about yourself.

Are you rushing to your work, or do you want to keep the romantic feel of christmastime, or do you long for spring?

When you're living in France it doesn't really mnatter. You can find it all in Paris.

Not only is it the most romantic city of the world, it's also one of the main bussiness cities and one of the cities where spring can be sensed very early in the year.

The Paris Hôtels are ready, because they know Paris is one of the most favorite places to be for the french. They love the City of Light, and now most christmastourists are on their way home, they can roam the streets before the summerseason starts.
I often wonder how it's possible I don't feel like a rat in Paris, but feel like a Queen when I walk the stairs and streets, and admire the architecture.

with 2.2 million people live in Central Paris and another 9.9 million in the suburbs Paris is one of the largest cities in Europe. Still I can feel like I'm all alone when I'm enjoying the early morning sun.

You can enjoy this too.
When you're in England you can book for the lowest prices if the Paris Hotels at CheaperthanHotels. Many already do.
I've seen some very good offers, even at half the normal rate.

The German version, called: Hotels Deutsche, is especially designed for the German tourists and businessmen who need to find the quaranteed best offers on Paris Hotels

Paris is completely equipped for business.
Don't be amazed.
Paris produces more than a quarter of the gross domestic product (GDP) of France in 2006 with €500.8 billion.
It's the largest business district in Europe, hosting 36 of the Fortune Global 500 companies.
And many international organisations have their main office in Paris, because the city is easily accessible.

At the moment the Abrial Hotels offers it's room for a tiny bit more than half the normal prize. Conference room included.

Abrial Hotel Paris

Even the spanish can spend their romatic nights and days in the París Hoteles and book in their own language.

And these are not the only languages that represented at http://www.hotelsenfrancais.com/France/Paris.

It's great you can see photos from each hotel, as there's a variety in rooms and hotels all throughout the city.
You'll always be able to find a room that fits your requirements and/or lifestyle.
Modern, minimalistic, the 60ties, baroque.. it's all there.

Raphael Hotel Paris

Paris has a lot to offer.
Restaurants, museums, fashion. In fact you can spend all day either relaxing or working, and still feel you're on vacation.

So don't waste your time dreaming, when you can be there and enjoy the new year.

Wedding Lane

Organising a wedding is a time of stress and anticipation.
Sometimes the stress to get a dream fullfilles is so great that the bride forgets that she's creating the day of her life.
To get things done the right way can be the main goal, and I've seen quite some brides and assistants forget that millions of pairs went before them and that they have left us with a large amount of knowledge about what works and what not.

Wedding Lane is a site that offers a simple business directory of mainly small shops.
There are no banners, nor wonderful pictures that divert the attention.

It's a place where you can find advice about everything that has to do with organising a wedding.

Take for instance the subject of wedding invitations.

The way people usually mke a choice is by visiting all sorts of shops and businesses, look through the books with samples, or take them home. And then a time of endless decision making starts.

Why not take some good advice on invitations, and grant the printing to a local store. They know what's in fashion, they know what's appreciated, and their experience can make a world of difference.

When we had to make the decision we wanted elegant wedding invites.
So we asked for the book at one of the local printshops. The man smiled.
He asked my fiancee to leave the building and buy me a bouquet of roses and invited me for a cup of coffee.
Then he started to ask questions. About my dress, the flowers, the church, the date, if I loved gold or silver, which jewelry I would wear. He commented on my blue eyes, etc etc.

Then he took a book, opened it and showed me what he thought would be a perfect match to the complete day.
To my surprise I really liked the invites he showed.

They would present our guests with the right feel about the wedding.

So I made a choice without all the fuzz many other brides to be experience.

We took another cup of coffee and then he asked me if I knew why he asked my fiancee to get roses.
Because he knew I would go for the classical, traditional style of wedding invitations.
Not because I'm old fashioned. Oh no!! Because they have proven to be the best.

DonCapone Voice Over for almost every budget

The voice with which products are presented influences the customers to buying more than the actual wording of the message does.
Movies and documentaries are better absorbed with the proper voices.

The way we perceive the world is not only by seeing, but also by hearing.

That's why VoiceOver is so important.

Done Capone is a voice over talent that lends his voice to a multitude of mediaproducts: Documentaries, Radio spots, Television programs, business presentations and characters in movies.

The right voice complements every message and Don Capone has that right voice.
For over 27 years he worked at CBS Broadcasting and Clear Channel Communications, providing identity and easy listening.

having the right voice is not the only important characteristic required for good voice overs.
The language needs to be spoken without accent. People need to be able to focus in a relaxed way to hear the most of a message.
The person needs to have an insight in how texts are constructed. That way natural speaking is facilitated. People can hear when someone only reads the grammer, follows the interpunction. Insight and understanding are important for changes of the height of the voice and other natural changes.
A person also needs to be able to follow the instructions of a director, or to follow the movements of a movie character.
He needs to be able to put emotion in his voice when that's required.
And he needs to be able to edit texts so they can be adjusted to the abilities of the voice or to the circumstances.

There's Voice Over at Don Capone available for every budget.

You can hear samples on the site and get an idea for what kind of jobs voice over can be used.
