about dropping links
Isn't it boring that people write comments just to drop their link?
That's why I hardly write on this blog.
Comments with commenrcial links are delited right-away.
When you want to advertise on my blog, ask me, and I give you proper attention in return for a boost in realising a dream.
No matter how nicely worded your dropped link-comment is, as owner of multiple blogs, I know you just paste a bit of prefab text.
Don't you take your own product serious?

When I comment on a blog I always read the blog post I am commenting on. Yes, I do leave a link with my name or sometimes a nickname, or when allowed, a name that has something to do with my site. I enjoy reading so many different blogs and opinions, and getting a link back makes it even better. I hate those that spam though as well.
Yeah, its really irritating for bloggers that people comments only for a backlink. Many bloggers switch their blogs into nofollow these days but I think this is not the only solution. I think we should fight spam, not blogs.
I too post comments for their SEO purpose, but I always read the article first and just post my opinion on the subject, which pretty often sets a new perspective over the subject and receive multiple comments as a response... I figure that way, I'll be doing both me and the blog's owner a favor; he/she gets more content on the subject, and I get a link. Is that wrong?
This article was very good read!
Just kidding, I totally understand the whole link dropping thing. If your going to drop a link, at least write a relevant comment! sheesh...
many spammers today are hitting commenting area, and most specially those people who are just dropping some few words and leaving a link.. which is unethical, atleast you same something relevant to the topic..
I just want to say that nice post. Thanks
