manic monday

What kinds of scenes in movies make you cry?

Lost love, dying children.
And scenes that resemble certain experiences in my life.
Out of Africa makes me cry a lot.

If you met your clone-- someone with your exact personality traits, likes and dislikes, etc. -- would you want to be friends with her? Why or why not?

No problem.
I'm ok.

What is your biggest challenge in life right now?

Taking care of my children is the biggest challenge, because 4 of them have autism spectrum disorder. Dealing with schools and organisations. including psychiatrists included.

If you're talking just about me.
The biggest challenge is saying goodbye to all those dreams I had, all those expectations of life.

Laane, you always have the most thoughtful and insightful answers.
Our answer to #1 is very similar. Also, Out of Africa is my favorite film of all time. It's so moving to me.

I, too, find it hard to let go of certain dreams that I've had. It's a difficult balance to keep some dreams and discard others.

I wish for you to have a most wonderful week. Thank you for playing Manic Monday. I always enjoy reading your answers.

Laane,
I didn't notice the first question to the meme but my answers would be the same as yours!

I also totally relate to your last sentence, it's never too late but when you're a mother some dreams have to be put aside.

Your answers are thought-provoking, and simply honest. I like that.

We all have dreams, but I have to put mine aside too, but it doesn't mean that they won't come true. Yours will eventually happen ~hugs~

Hi Laane,

My goodness, I really connected with your last answer. It really is a big challenge to let go of hopes and dreams with regards to kids--that they'll be happy, marry well, be surrounded with friends, etc etc. In exchange, I love and accept my two older kids for the individuals they are. They don't have the lives I'd hoped for but ... oh well...so it goes. My grandson is on the autistic spectrum. He is a handful all by himself so I can't imagine raising 4 kids with ASD! You'd mentioned monitoring glucose levels...do you have diabetes like me?

Our #1's are similar.

This was a fun meme, huh?
